After many failures and frustrations, Martin has finally brought his first hatch of Diadema through metamorphosis.

Featuring breakthrough information on the keeping of sea squirts (tunicates) by Daniel Knop, the July/August 2009 issue of CORAL is now printing and will be in the mail to subscribers and shipping to local aquarium shops this week. 

The on-sale date in in bookstores such as Barnes & Noble is July 28th.

I wanted to spread the word about the high quality of Coral Magazine, and wrote a brief review about the magazine that I posted on the Captive Aquatics™ blog.  Coral Magazine is an excellent publication, and if you're not fully convinced you should subscribe, check out my post here to be persuaded!

For many years, it was an article of faith among conscientious aquarists and many marine biologists that the collection of reef fishes for the aquarium trade could never lead to the extinction of a species.

It seems only yesterday that we inherited CORAL Magazine, but the third issue of 2009 is now in the mail and shipping to local aquarium shops and bookstores. (The official publication and bookstore on-sale date is June 9th, so anyone getting copies sooner has a preview.)
