Eyes On New Marine Fish Health Symposium
WITH MANY MARINE AQUARIUM conferences increasingly dominated by coral keeping and reproduction, professional aquarist Rick Oellers is staging the first of what many hope will become an annual event: the Ornamental Fish Health Symposium, at the University of New England on the coast of Maine. Featured speakers include Dr. Edward J. Noga, left, aquatic veterinarian and author of the landmark reference book, Fish Disease, about to be released in a new Second Edition.
Open to all who register, the two day symposium on fish health and disease, diagnosis and treatment is designed for people who work with aquarium fish, the ornamental fish trade industry, as well as professional aquarists, aquarium service people, and advanced hobbyists. Both basic to advanced materials will be covered. Other speakers and workshop leaders include Dr. Julie Cavin, Robert Fenner, Dr. Jeri Fox, Soren Hansen, Lance Ichinotsubo, Rick Oellers, and Chris Turk.
The symposium will be held on the Biddeford campus of UNE, near scenic Saco and about 95 miles north of Boston. Attendees are promised a Saturday night Maine Lobster Dinner. Further information and registration...
